July 25, 2014 – Best. Day. Ever.
The day I became a MacKay (well, technically I’m still a Kopecky because I’m a slow poke at changing my name — soon enough I will!)! Our wedding day was truly the best day of my life to date.
From the morning I woke up singing “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, to getting ready with some of my favorite ladies, to having complete peace while walking down the aisle to see my soon-to-be hubby (if you know me at all, you know I get EXTREMELY nervous of being in front of people – the peace of the Lord was all over me), to serving communion as husband and wife to our guests, to dancing, laughing, and celebrating with friends and family who traveled from over 19 different states to see us, to ending the night singing Callin’ Baton Rouge, Country Roads, and some other R & B tunes (I swear our reception felt like a club at some points! haha), and then to finally exiting the reception with our friends and family with sparklers in hand.
